
It's no surprise that Microsoft is preparing to launch their version of a music player, dubbed "iPod killer," but officially known as Zune. What's curious, is that Microsoft has signed a revenue sharing contract with Universal Music, where UMG will most likely receive more than $1 for every $250 device Microsoft sells. "These devices are just repositories for stolen music, and they all know it," UMG chairman/CEO Doug Morris says. "So it's time to get paid for it."
